SSAC's 2021 trip to Pembroke had finally arrived. Once again the weather was proving iffy but Tim (skipper of Eve Ann) reckoned he could find us some decent dives. So 12 of us set off for Pembroke in sunshine. We pitched our tents at South Crockett camp site and settled in for the night. We woke in the morning to - drizzle. Oh well, we'll give it a go. It was a bit depressing dropping my gloves into a puddle when getting changed, but worse things happen at sea - as they say. When we rounded St Anne's Head we met the swell and a few lost their breakfast! Still, on we went to Low Point which was wonderfully in the lee of the swell and perfect for a dive - it had even stopped raining. We had two lovely dives with a maximum depth of 20m - perfect for the Ocean Divers in our group. The second dives was down lobster alley... The visibility was not the best I have seen it, but it wasn't bad. Then it was back to Milford Haven for a lovely meal at Foam (boy were the prawns spicey!). Sunday proved to be windy as well as wet so we dived the Dakotian in the Haven for a First dive followed by a rather short and low viz dive on the Behar. The UK wreck diving rookies thought it was great! Then it was back to the campsite to pack up wet tents! In spite of the weather and iffy visibility on Sunday, we all had a really fun time. ...
